Bed-in-a-Bag Discussions And How To's
| I went shopping at Target Firday night | | Now, I seldom go shopping at Target, but I got $60 in gift cards from family so I had to go use them.So, its kind of late, between 8-9 at night, the roomie and I got on carts and we go rolling around the store.First we stop in the "one spot" that now has become more of a $2.50 spot, and the roomie found these little glasses. The one she picked up had fish, but the next bunch over have jungle animals. I ask for one of those.I see the Valentine cards out and think "hummm, need one for mom" so I go looking for a card.Well, most are either romantic or for "mom and dad" or whatever. I'm looking and then I find one that has a giraffe on it. If you punch a button, little lights in its spots go off.Well, it might not be perfect for most moms, but its perfect for me to give MY mom.Then, cruising around some more I find a twin bed in a bag, and think - I need this - so I grabbed it. Then, over in the toy section I found a toy giraffe.Now, I'm thinking to myself, I'm really close to that $60 and I don't want to go over, so, I tell the roomie I think we've done it.So, off we roll to check out.I put my stuff on the check out and line it up and put the bed in... | |
| | Plates? Flatware? Lamps? Are you obsessive about yours? | | When i moved to the east coast i left almost everything behind that wasn't the kids.. most was hand me down stuff anyways and it would have cost more to ship then we paid for it!! so when I was looking for dinner ware sets. . i came across SQUARE platesand bowls.. and now i am obsessed with them. . I bought them for myself with christmas money my aunt gave me and i cant wait to get to use them.Then i seen these lamps, a set of four, floor lamp, table lamp, and two accent lamps, they have that crushed glass decor to them, and they were expensive, but again, i had to have them. lolThen there was the bedset.. I wish angel was here to make fun of my for getting a 250$ bed in a bag.. after i made fun of her for her 100$ bath mat for so long. . On to the flatware (silverware) .. now these were a gift.. but they came in a suitcase with locks on it.. wow.. i do not know how much they cost but they look expensive.. Boy am i glad i gave away all my stuff in ontario!!Have you ever become obsessed with something you've seen in the store and just had to have them? | |
| | My best friend couldn't live without me! | | I found a newer version of Photoshop and was successfully able to install a trial of it. My excitement is too much for words to truly convey.[em]wub[/em]What are you excited about today? Oh, I'm also pretty excited that I'm going to get a new bed in a bag today. | | Do You Like Camping? | | Now the weathers half decent in England I've started going out camping again, last night we went camping on a beach called priory bay in Seaview near where I live on the isle of wight. It was really nice we had a barbecue and later a fire it did rain but only lightly and the tent didn't leak.
I love camping it makes a change to being indoors all the time and makes you appreciate nature more deeply Do you like camping? Or do you miss your home comforts? We didn't have an air bed last night and sand is surprisingly hard when you lay down on it through a ground sheet. We will definitely be getting an air bed before the next time we go, what's your must have camping accessory? Mine has to be the air bed and sleeping bag, the thing I miss most is my bed and an air bed is the most comfortable alternative I've found. | |
| | Blessings & Being thankful | | So you all pretty much know what's been going on... There are 4 of us (including me) in our department and look at what a great bunch of people I work with.My one co-worker gave me (not lent but gave me) $40 yesterday.
My boss (yes boss!!!) gave me a queen size bed in a bag...
And from all three of them they gave me a $60 gift card to Wegmans (food store).GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |
| | Certified Pack Rat | | Okay, I hate a nasty house, but for me, a cluttered messy one is unavoidable. Several times a year I go through all of my belongings and throw things away. Most of the time, they are not new things, but stuff that I could not bear to part with the last time.My mother was a pack rat and now I understand why. I can not stand to look for something and realize I have thrown it away. If something looks like I may be able to use it in the future, I will do my best to find a place for it.I have a germ phobia, so things have to be clean. But, sometimes I like clutter. Clutter, to me, gives the place a lived in feeling. Like, you have been there a while and aren't going anywhere soon. I don't feel comfortable in a house the looks like a museum.Being that I was orphaned at the age of ten, I moved around a lot during my childhood, so I am just use to moving. I get restless sitting still for long. In that case, you would think that I would not get the chance to collect much junk.I am an avid reader. I read books depending on what mood I am in that day, so I can be reading like five books all at one time. Then, there are all the books that I haven't read yet, the ones that I want... | |
