Indoor Garden Planter Discussions And How To's
| Indoor Garden? | | I've been seeing this thing called (I think!) the "Aero Garden" advertised on TV constantly and it really looks cool. It shows lettuce, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, and all kinds of other vegetables that you can grow right on your own kitchen counter top. I've been so tempted to get it but I'd like some feedback from someone who's tried it first. It really does seem like it would more or less pay for itself within a very short time. Heck just with the cost of those little cherry tomatoes this time of year alone it would pay for itself the way I love them in salads and just to snack on. Has anyone here tried it or do you know anyone who has?

| | Growing vegetables indoors for extra money | | I was thinking about changing one of my extra rooms into a vegetable or herb garden. I would like to make some extra money off of this hobby. Does anyone know what would be the most profitable fruit, vegetable or herb to grow? Am I crazy to think I can make money off of some plants in a room?
I recently read some articles about verticle farming, where people are going to convert old buildings into farms in bigger cities. I think this is a great idea. I wanted to try it on a smaller scale in my house for now. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

| | Do You Want To Grow Herbs? | | Growing herbs is a great way to add variety to your cooking. The key is to have the herbs at your fingertips so you just have to reach up and snip off some when you need them. Is there an extra window somewhere that you would like to "green up"?
Why not add some shelves to the window you already have and add pots of herbs or vegetables. Then you have your won indoor potted garden. Admit it, it sounds appealing to you and there is that window in there that would be perfect to use that space and grow herbs or veggies to eat! HUH?? What do you think? | |
