New England Perennial Flower Seeds Discussions And How To's
A Nor`Easter In New England?
whoda thunk??really people.. why all the hustle and bustle when a new storm blows in? this is New England.. where if you dont like the weather, just wait five minutes! it always amazes me the lines at the grocery stores.. at the gas stations.. the hoarding of supplies that goes on when it is predicted that a storm is on the way. having lived in New England all my life.. it is just common sense to ALWAYS be prepared! make sure you have enough water, batteries, etc etc blahblahblah. labor rolls around.. you put that shovel and the bag of kitty litter in the trunk "just in case" and still.. these people are scurrying like squirrels with a nut at the very LAST minute! where yall from anyways?? florida? where 2 inches of snow cripples the entire community and is call for a state of emergency? get real.. and get weatherized!!
It's snowing in New England again!
I woke up to snow this morning. My assistant told me when she came in to get me up. They say it's only going to be half an inch, but I don't believe them. My parents got about a foot and we're supposed to get the same storm system. Lovely! I hope that it all clears out by tomorrow so that I can go to my poetry reading and have coffee with Leslie. I'm so sick of snow especially because we keep getting little bits that only ruin things like Mass transit but life still goes on. Maybe what we need is just one big blizzard to get through the whole winter without any other incidents. That being said, I hope it's not tomorrow. What do you think of the winter so far? Is it snowing where you are today?
Has anyone read An Arsonists Guide to Writers Homes in New England?
I finished it yesterday coincidentally on Emily Dickinson's birthday which is ironic because the story centers on the burning on Emily Dickinson's house and all the fallout afterwards. I didn't think I would like it as I'm not much of a fan of violence but the narrator is a redeemable bumbler (as he perpetually calls himself). As I have bumbled a time or two in my life, I can relate. Have you read this book? What did you think of it?
Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots
What is your opinion of the two teams and who do you think will win this game. Better quarterback Manning or Brady??
Anyone travel to the New England states before?
I'm trying to plan some kind of vacation this summer. I was wondering if anyone has ever vacation to New England before? I know the area consists of the states, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine. It's very confusing trying to pick which state to travel to. If anyone has ever traveled there before I'd love to hear about where you stayed and what you liked about it.
Has anyone every worked for NEC (new england crafters)?
If so what experiences did you have with them? Once you send in your product is it hard to get them approved?
Has anyone tried the NEC (New England crafter & the magical gift company)???
Does anyone have any experience with this company? Do they actually pay you? I tried researching it on the internet and came across a forum and they had pretty good things to say about the company. Please help me out. I might be considering this as a side thing I do to earn extra cash. Any advice or feedback please
March 2009 Snowstorm in New England
I know the groundhog assured us of a longer winter, I just wish he had left the snow behind. I woke up the morning of March 2 to our worse storm of the year and it's not done. That's winter in New England for you. I guess ole man winter wanted to go out with a bang. Looks like I'll be shoveling all day. Yaaaa
New England Patriots
Who think that they will have another great season like they did the last one? What are your opinions about the team?
new england crafters
So I got my starter kit in the mail yesterday! I was so excited at the thoughts of starting to work again. I made one whole piece in a half hour. It looks nothing like the sample. It was easy enough to make as long as you can measure and hot glue. I haven't used a hot glue gun in years it seems so its a bit stringy. I'm thinking that it might take some time to get this project approved. I'm kind of worried about that. Has anyone worked for them and if so how long did it take you to get approved on a project?
