| Do you have stores that sell buggies full of stuff for cheap prices? | | We have a Dirt Cheap and when they are getting new shipments and need room they will put buggies of stuff outside and sell them for $10. Sometimes clothes, toys, furniture, tools, nails, nuts, bolts, bedding, and etc. Just all kinds of stuff. If the buggies stay out there long enough they will mark them down to $5. The other day I got 5 of them and my Mom got 2 of them. There was all kinds of stuff in there. I go a mahogany wood stool with a padded seat. A huge wicker basket. One of those metal ice buckets that you put ice and drinks in. Games- Harry Potter Scene It, Scene It Movie Edition, No Brainer, Totally 80's Trivial Pursuit, 1 vs. 100, a mini hockey table, & two electronic dart boards. I also got a TV cart, a Kitchen Cuisine Cart, a wood drying rack, two shower curtain rods, shower curtain hooks, one of those chin- up bars that you put in your doorway and pull yourself up on to exercise. I got lots of pretty decorative curtain rods(the ones that are $15-$20). And I got much much more way too much too list. But it was a great deal. I picked out all that I wanted and then I set up... | |
| | Shower Curtain, Open or Closed? | | When you take a shower or a bath, do you keep your shower curtain open or closed? Why? I personaly like to keep my shower curtain closed when I take a bath/shower. It helps me feel more alone and peaceful so I could just relax. Plus I think if I let it open the water would splash on the floor and that's not good, and I would feel cold if I left it open also. So which do you prefer when taking a bath/shower, to keep the curtain open or closed? | |

| Always changing my shower curtain | | I get bored having the same shower curtain so I have to change my shower curtain to a different design AT LEAST 2 times a year but most times its three times a year and I think its a seasonal thing I do. I have a small bathroom so that's why it bothers me too because it has to 'open up' the room and make it not feel so small.Do you get bored with your shower curtain? | |

| Scrubbing the shower curtain | | [em]happy[/em] I thought that I would bring this discussion to the table just out of curiosity.
When it comes to shower curtains I would like them to be pretty and frilly. However we need to watch the money in our family and mostly just buy the shower liners.
They seem to work well however just as everyone else I can imagine that there is a lot of soap and grime build up especially on the bottoms of these things.I was wanting to buy a new shower liner but decided that I would just scrub it a little while and clean it. It worked out pretty good and now I don't need to buy a new one for a while.
How about you? Do you just break down and end up buying a new shower liner or just scrub the one you have?
| | how do you clean a shower curtain? | | i have a vinyl one that is the inner curtain that get wet and its got mold on it and i was going to spray and scrub it down but i cant be around strong chemicals and i would have to stretch it out some where (which there is no room for) and then i was thinking about soaking it in the tub with bleach but i would still need to scrub it which means i would be getting my arm into bleach water which wont work.. you cant wash them can you?!?! its plasticy/vinyl so i figured it would break or not clean it good enough.. or should i just throw it away? im thinking about just replacing it with one that is Antimicrobial Shower Curtain that will resist mold etc to i dont have to deal with it but eh.. not like i wanna spend money on a shower curtain when there is so many other things ya know?? so any tips on how to clean it with out me having to inhale a crap load of fumes?? | |

| | Shower curtain or shower doors? | | My sister just bought a new house and is taking down the shower curtains and putting up doors. There are many good things about the doors but I find for me I prefer curtains....first I can change the decor every years if I want...second when they get crappy looking I can just toss them...where doors sometimes get tacky because of hard water or soap build up. So which do you prefer in your home? Shower curtains or doors? | |

################################################################Have a shower curtain that sticks and squeaks? Wipe furniture polish on the rod and the curtain will glide easily. If you have hardened soap scum on your glass shower door, try scrubing it with some baby oil on a washcloth. Create your own bath soothers for a fraction of the cost. Toss several handfuls of Epsom salts in the tub to revive tired muscles, or add 2-3 teaspoons of baking soda to the water to help soften skin. Try used dryer sheets to dust furniture and electronics; they'll cut static and help repel dust. You won't need to spray polish and can keep the sheets handy in a drawer in your living room and family room. Denture tablets are good for more than just cleaning teeth! Before going to bed, drop a couple into the toilet bowl, then brush and flush the next morning! Clean a rubber or vinyl bath mat in the washer with several bath towels. The towels scrub...
| | Which end of the tub does your shower curtain go to? | | When you are getting out of the shower, do you slide the curtain to the spigot side or the opposite side? I've always slid it down to the spigot side. I think it's because there isn't much room to stand down there and if I slide the curtain to the other side it leaves me with little room in the middle to manuver in. | |
