| Starting a "discussion series" about German words - interesting for you? | | As I was just thinking about another discussion I had started today about differences between Germany and the USA, I was again thinking about... Toilet Brushes! Yes, that's right. In Germany, they are situated next to every toilet, but not in the USA... and they don't seem to miss them.Anyways, I was thinking about how the German word for Toilet Brush (Klobürste) must sound to natives of other languages and I also thought it might be interesting to start dicussions about "[i]The German word of the day[/i]" or something like that. I have the idea of presenting you more or less useful words, maybe even phrases. Or if not useful, at least funny sounding[em]rofl[/em]Would you read it? | |
| | Do you collect anything? | | I love frogs so when I was a teenage I started collection different types of frog figures. I have just around 500 frogs... I have stuffed frogs, glass frogs, plastic frogs, paper frogs and ceramic frogs. I have blankets, soap dispensers, bath towels, shower curtains, toilet brush holder, toothbrush holders, socks, slippers, clothing, plant holders and many many more things of frogs. My favorite is the red eye tree frog and whenever I travel to different place or a family member does they will pick me up a new frog for my collection. I have some from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Vegas, Wisconsin, Virginia, Michigan and Florida...I am running out of room in my curio for all of them but I still like to collect them.Is there anything that you collect? If so how many do you have? Are there any that are special to you? | |
| | Any shortcut tips on household chores? | | Do any of you have shortcuts for making some chores around the house a bit easier?A few things do are as follows. I keep a toilet brush, toilet cleaner, sanitizing spray and a roll of paper towels in the corner, next to and behind each toilet. I am more likely to stay on top of it if everything I need is right there when the notion strikes me. Many times I needed to clean the nasty thing but didn't because I was just to sorry to go gather up my supplies.Next thing I do that has really helped with my shower is I keep my Comet, and a scrubber in the shower on the top shelf.After I take a shower, if I and feel like it, I'll just stay in there and scrub the thing down. Doesn't matter if I get wet cause I'm already wet, and no kneeling and leaning over trying to keep my clothes dry. This way I actually clean it real good once or twice a week where before I might let it go by for months because I just didn't want to do all the kneeling, bending and leaning over.I also keep a fiber cleaning cloth on one of those stick on wash rag things that sticks on the mirror. I'm a sink slob, after I have brush my teeth and washed my face, the mirror is streaked with toothpaste... | |

The toilet brush is that you just washed your toilet with..must also be cleaned..not just put back in it's container. You have to also rinse out with hot water and spray either peroide or javex..also clean the container too.
Haven't you ever noticed if you just shake it and put it back in the container that it's got yellow gunk? Where you think that comes from? Yep, from cleaning the toilet!
Your brush you use to clean mushrooms should be only for mushrooms and potato brush too. Once you finished with them you wash them with soap, rinse and them put them on a paper sheet for them to dry and then put away once dry and not leave them on the sink as many people do. Once they are dry wrap them in a paper towel and put them away. After all here you are washing your veggies so they be clean..but is the brush clean?

| | I'm Coming Back As a Toilet Brush | | Okay so I smoke. So I step outside to night to have one and I stepped on one of my cats. They know the rules of the doorway, but I didn't see him either.There was this terrible cry and he ran off. Spend the next 1/2 hour trying to find him and he'd call from a distance but wouldn't come to me. I feel about an inch tall right now.Have you ever done something by accident that made you feel like a total heal? He's calling so I think he's okay. I'm going to try and get him to come to me. I need to make sure he's okay.My oldest step-son walked out the back door several years ago and stepped on a kitten breaking it's leg.
