| | How old was your child when you put them in a twin bed? | | My daughter was about 1.5 years old. She was too big for the crib and I wasn't wasting money in buying a little toddler bed. I stuck her in a twin bed with no guard rail and said, see you in the morning. She fell out of bed a few times and then learned to not sleep so close to the edge. She did just fine within a few days. She wouldn't get out of bed unless I gave her the okay. She is 5 and still won't get out of bed to get something across the room without asking me first. | |

| | My baby is in her big girl bed now! | | I got tired of my 16 month old daughter climbing out of her crib every time I put her in it, so I set up her toddler bed in the room the other night. She LOVES it! I was afraid that she would not want to be in it, but so far so good. Did you have a hard time switching your kids to a toddler bed? What age did you make the switch? | |
| | Toddler Bed | | My daughter turned two yesterday. I was just curious as to what age is appropriate for a toddler bed? I would really like to get her one but I don't want it to be too early. | |
| | Ohhh jeeezzz | | My boyfriend and I just moved out of our apartment and are now living in separate places. He moved into a house with some of his friends and somehow got stuck with the tiny room. By tiny I mean he can fit a twin bed, a desk, and a dresser, and that's it... no room to walk around or anything, really.I used to live in an apartment and had a small room. I hated it. My closet was so tiny...I think small rooms are harder to keep clean...Have you ever had a small room like this? Doesn't it suck? Or did you like it? | |
| | hand made gifts for the boys | | i would like to make gifts for all my nephews and one niece. their ages range from will be born in a couple weeks to 16 years old. i am not trying to hurry this. i dont really participate in christmas gifts or birthday gifts so i want to have one nice gift that i can give them when they are teens. something useful and cool. girls are easy, i will be able to come up with something for her when its her turn its the boys i am having trouble with. i dont what them to be the gifts that you have to act like you like but when you get it home you put it in the closet. i what them to really be meaningful and useful and something they can have around for a long time. something that will say wow she must really love me to have spent all this time. ya guys know what i mean. i need help. what do you do for boys!?!?! i am learning to crochet and think i will crochet the oldest a blanket, but i dont want it to be a crappy little throw blanket, one for his bed. and i know he is a kid and still has a small twin bed but someday he will be a man and will have a bigger bed to cover with this thing so i will make it king size. i was thinking about making it like a puzzle and maybe even lining... | |
| | We are having compay once again. | | We are having company once again. We have had someone stay at our house over night for one or more nights every month since June. I love the company but the cost of all the extra food is getting expensive.

| | I went shopping at Target Firday night | | Now, I seldom go shopping at Target, but I got $60 in gift cards from family so I had to go use them. So, its kind of late, between 8-9 at night, the roomie and I got on carts and we go rolling around the store.First we stop in the "one spot" that now has become more of a $2.50 spot, and the roomie found these little glasses. The one she picked up had fish, but the next bunch over have jungle animals. I ask for one of those.I see the Valentine cards out and think "hummm, need one for mom" so I go looking for a card.Well, most are either romantic or for "mom and dad" or whatever. I'm looking and then I find one that has a giraffe on it. If you punch a button, little lights in its spots go off.Well, it might not be perfect for most moms, but its perfect for me to give MY mom. Then, cruising around some more I find a twin bed in a bag, and think - I need this - so I grabbed it. Then, over in the toy section I found a toy giraffe. Now, I'm thinking to myself, I'm really close to that $60 and I don't want to go over, so, I tell the roomie I think we've done it.So, off we roll to check out.I put my stuff on the check out and line it up and put the bed in... | |

But that is ok everyone wants it. Well, I'm giving it to my son as he loves my afghans as he has them all over his room. One on a stand one on the end of the bed as he say's for looks. And then one that covers his chair. He said he needed a new one as he needed to cover up with something.[em]w00t[/em] I just smiled and said ok. I'm going to start some for the vets I think. So are you done with your? I would show you a pic. But have no camera. You all have a wonderful day/night. | |
