| Is my Dog Greedy, Stupid, or Both? | | My youngest enjoys playing with pots and pans, pretending to cook. Our dogs enjoy him doing this, as occassionally he'll grab a pan that's not been washed up yet and they can sneak a quick lick of something tasty.Anyway, today little one was playing on the floor with a collection of pans and some wine corks, pouring the corks from one pan to another. In comes dog, back from her walk.Snap! There goes a cork out of the nearest pan, straight down the dog's throat. Stupid beast obviously thought it was some sort of tidbit left in the pan, but she scoffed it so quick that noone had a chance to grab her. I don't think it even touched the sides, just straight on down.Well she seems OK with it so far, but I guess at some point it's going to have to come out the other end. I'll be glad I'm not in her position when it does! Perhaps it will teach her not to be so greedy/ stupid. DO you think so? I don't!! | |
| | Champagne Corks and Snakes | | Trolling around the internet I cam across a question that asked whether people were genuinely more likely to die from being hit by a champagne cork than from a snake bite. I have been fortunate enough to be hit several times by champagne corks (and sparkling wine corks too) but I have never tangled with a snake. Have you or do you know someone that has been bitten and lived to open their next bottle of champagne. | |
